Derived from a vision - the award-winning biomorphic structure 'Nautilus' - a system for the construction of single layer free forms was developed.
The starting point was the concave curved 'Arcus', which is representative of a form found within the 'Nautilus' (see view 1), its conversion into its convex counterpart (see view 2) along with further subdivision into single modules.
While doing so it was discovered that only two different modules, with concave or convex curves, are necessary to create new forms and configurations.
